David L. Lane
October 12, 1940 - August 29, 2019

David L. Lane, 78, of Fort Dodge passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery with Military Rites Conducted by the V.F. W. Post 1856 and the Visitation will be on Monday beginning at 12:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Deanna of Fort Dodge, children David (Kelly) Lane of Coalville, Rodney Lane of Humboldt, Jody Berry of Fort Dodge, step children Rhonda (Dan) Dicus of Fort Dodge and Rodney (Brandy) Tegland of Sac City, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, his son-in-law Rodney Berry, siblings Duane Lane, Mary Ann Foust, Barbara Powers, Daniel Lane and Francis "Frank" Lane.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Viola Lane, infant daughter Wendy Lane, granddaughter Emily "Emmie" Greiman, great grandson CJ and a daughter-in-law Debra Lane.
David L. Lane was born on October 12, 1940, in St. Cloud, MM. He was raised in Fort Dodge. From 1957 to 1961, he served in the United States Air Force. On October 20, 1984, he was united in marriage to Deanna Dankel in Eldora. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. David was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for several years. He then worked part time at the Marian Home. Dave enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
