Jane Ann Ostermeier
March 6, 1927 - August 29, 2019

Jane Ann Ostermeier, of Antigo, died Thursday, August 29, 2019, at The Bay at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was 92 years old. She was born on March 6, 1927, in Antigo, a daughter of Stanley and Anna (Grall) Klajbor. She married Sgt. Harold Bovet in 1951, he preceded her in death. She married Lloyd Ostermeier on July 2, 1963, at St. John Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2005.

Jane attended St. John Catholic Grade School and graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1945.

From 1980 to 1985 she managed Kemp's Big Dip Ice Cream Shop.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the church alter society, rosary society and choir. Her catholic faith and guiding those she loved to have a strong faith was the center point of her life.

While raising her children, Jane was a girl scout leader, den mother and cub scout leader. She was the 8th grade cheer leading coach at St. John in 1978.

Her hobbies included knitting (doll clothes for granddaughter Mandy), sewing and cooking. She will be remembered for her unique varieties of cream puffs.

Her grandsons Cordell, Cole and Connor were her pride and joy.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary (Jay) Umland of Antigo; two sons, Michael (Gail) Bovet of Antigo and Mark Ostermeier of Florida; a step-son, Todd (Joan) Ostermeier of Antigo;

seven grandchildren, Jim Ostermeier of Eagle River, Sarah (Eric) Achenbach of Sun Prairie, Amanda Ferg of Clintonville, Philip (Shelly) Bovet of Wausau, Cordell, Cole and Connor Umland all of Antigo; six great-grandchildren, Philine Bovet, Zoey and Nash Ferg, Zachary, Mia and Ryan Bovet;

nieces and nephews, Kathi (Don) Welch of Las Cruces, NM, Martha (Steve) Duer of Texas, Bob Ackerman of Las Cruces, NM and Tom (Ingegerd) Ackerman of Niceville, FL.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty (Emery) Ackerman.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 2, 2019, at 3 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Reverend Zach Weber officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 2 to 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jane's name may be directed to All Saints Catholic School for tuition, 419 6th Ave. Antigo, WI 54409.
