Paula Rech, 71 of Malvern, IA, passed away August 28, 2019 in Omaha, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Glenwood, Iowa with Father Dan Siepker officiating. Burial will be in the Malvern Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the church from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood in charge of arrangements.

Paula Jean Rech, 71 of Malvern, Iowa, passed away on August 28, 2019 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.
Paula was born on October 13, 1947 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Maurice and Rosella (Hensley) Berg. She graduated from high school and worked as a supervisor at Goodwill.
Paula and Don Rech were united in marriage on June 28, 1968 at Holy Cross Church in Omaha, Nebraska. They lived in the Omaha area before moving to live near Malvern in 2003.
Paula enjoyed handwork such as sewing and crocheting. She was a very good cook and enjoyed baking. Paula was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and sister, along with being a good friend to all who knew her.
Paula was preceded in death by parents; daughters, Mindy and Deena; and brother Ron Van Vors.
Paula is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Don Rech; sons, David Rech and Larry Rech, all of Malvern; eight grandchildren, Michaela, Jeremy, Karley, Tiffany, Courtney, Kyle, Matthew, and Emily; siblings, LaVon Van Vors of Crete, NE, and Denny Berg of Omaha; sister-in-law Emilie Armstrong amd husband Rod of Sun City, AZ; other relatives; and a host of friends.
