MUSCATINE, Iowa - Margaret Lendt, 98, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019, at Manor Care in Davenport.
A Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Randy Pribyl will officiate. Pallbearers will be Randy Vance, Wesley Vance, Ron Keegan, Gregg Albrandt , Craig Richardson, and Dan Mai.

Margaret was born on September 4, 1920, in Cedar County, the daughter of Louis and Elma McCracken Everett. She moved to Muscatine when she was 1 year old and was raised on a farm. She married James Vance in 1937, James Wigal in 1948, and Wilmot Lendt in 1963. All preceded her in death.
She worked at J. I. Case in Rock Island, Rock Island Arsenal and cooked at Clarence Nursing Home. She retired in 1987 and moved to Tipton. She enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos, fishing and hunting with her sons, and most of all, spending time with her family, which she dearly loved.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Kenneth and Nadine, Gary Vance and Deb; eight grandchildren, Sheri Thibodeau and husband, Bob, Ty Keegan and husband Ron, Teri Richardson, and husband Craig, Tammy Albracht and husband, Gregg, Randy Vance, Susie Mai and husband, Dan, Wesley Vance and wife, Kathy, and Brenda Haines; 15 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; three step daughters, Shirlene, Donna, and Serri; and several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilmot; her father and step mother, Louis and Florence Everett; her mother and step father, Elma and Raymond Long; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Lee Carney; step sister, Delores and Lloyd Whitlow; step brother, Robert Wilson; and step grandson, Michael Cromer.
