Charlotte Mae Peterson, 89, of Winona died Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Sauer Health Care. Charlotte was born June 18, 1930 to Frank and Myrtle Ressie in Winona. She graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1948. Religion and faith were always a mainstay in her life. God graced her with 5 wonderful children, Char, Lynette, Chuck, Larry, and Frank. She worked hard for her family and loved the time she was able to spend with them. Charlotte also loved photography, drawing, and crafts. She taught Sunday school at Calvary Baptist for more than 50 years.
She is survived by her children, Char (Mike) Crogan, Lynette (David) Ellis, Chuck (Lisa) Peterson, Larry (Carla) Peterson, Frank (Mary) Peterson; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ronald Ressie Sr., Mary Lou Thoreson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mardell Buck-Whittaker.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation starting one hour prior Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church, Winona. Private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family or Calvary Baptist Church, 676 W Sarnia st, Winona, MN 55987
