Roy Roger Mabrey
January 21, 1940 - September 6, 2019

Funeral Services for Mr. Roy Roger Mabrey, age 79 of Rickman, will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday, September 8, 2019, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. James Williams and Bro. Tommy Harris will officiate. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. Mabrey passed from this life on Friday afternoon, September 6th, from the comfort of his own home. He was born in Clay County on January 21, 1940, to the late Roy and Mable Irene Maxfield Mabrey. He loved to go fishing, tending to his garden, dancing, ginseng hunting, singing, riding motorcycles, and good food and friendship.

Mr. Mabrey leaves behind his son, Roger Allen Mabrey and wife Anna of Willow Grove; daughters, Debie Marie Taylor and husband Wayne of Willow Grove, Linda Irene Fox and husband Roger of Cookeville, Teresa Beth Randolph and husband Bill of Cookeville, and Cheryl Lynn Hooten and husband Eddie of Celina; grandchildren Jenny Taylor, Jessie Taylor, Jeremy Dennis, Michelle Mabrey, Stacey Bradford, Ashley Coffman, Brandon Fox, Wesley Fox, Nikki Fox, Zeb Randolph, Grayson Randolph, Silas Randolph, and Michael Copeland; significant other, Mary Cowan; 18 great grandchildren; brother James "Jimmy" Mabrey; and sisters Betty White, Pam Huddleston, Isabella Miller, Sandra Copeland husband Gordon, and Sharon Paul and husband Robert.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mabrey was preceded in death by his wife Betty Marie Williamson Mabrey and sister Josephine Copeland.
