Jane M. Menter, 70, of Marshalltown, IA, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019, at UnityPoint Health Hospital in Marshalltown. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, at St. Francis of Assisi - St. Henry Catholic Church in Marshalltown, with Father Michael McAndrew officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service, Friday, September 13, 2019, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Jane was born March 2, 1949, to Henry (Lorraine) Pille in Marshalltown. She graduated from Lenihan High School in Marshalltown in 1967. Jane was united in marriage to Lawrence Menter on December 31,1981, in Ames, IA. She enjoyed baking, crafts, and sewing for her family. Jane was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She and Lawrence enjoyed going to Burger King every morning for a coffee group. She assisted her husband with handiwork. Most of all, Jane loved attending her kids' and grandkids' functions.

Jane will be missed by her mother, Lorraine Pille of Marshalltown; her husband, Lawrence; a daughter, Jeni (Derek) Ladehoff of Marshalltown; a son, Jimmy (Jamie) Schelling of Dallas, TX; four stepchildren: Lisa Williams of Baxter, IA, Troy (Crystal) Menter of Waverly, IA, Errin (Dan) Bohlke of Marshalltown, Ashley (Tom) Allen of Ashville, NC; 14 grandchildren: Brady, Kyler, and Kynlie Ladehoff, Dustin, Dallas, Dacie, Dominik, Dax, and Dani Schelling, Sean Williams, Ryan Menter, Derek and Grant Bohlke, Sam Allen; three sisters: Nanci D'Andrea of North Hollywood, CA, Carol (Miguel) Garcia of Lake Placid, FL, Joyce (Bob) DeVries of Marshall, MN; three brothers: Glenn (Kathy) Pille of Des Moines, IA, Mark (Rhonda) Pille of Ft. Collins, CO, Chuck (Deb) Pille of Bloomington, MN; sister-in-law, Cynthia Pille of Long View, TX; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Pille, a brother, Terry Pille, son-in-law Tim Williams, daughter-in-law Jodee Menter, and a brother-in-law, Rich D'Andrea.
