In loving memory of

Mario Mario

Mario lost his battle against kidney disease and cancer on July 23rd 2019. He ended his journey with his family by his side and help of Pet's Remembered. Mario was a rescue, we adopted in the spring of 2009. Midwest Animal Rescue & his foster family did an excellent job helping us find each other, and what a great fit. He arrived home with only the ability to scratch his own butt up against certain furniture. He quickly began building loving relationships and trusting people...you know to help with the butt scratches. Some of his favorite activities included: barking at nothing, taking your spot, running around super fast for no apparent reason, and let's not forget the excessive lick, lick, licking! In his spare time Mario volunteered at the Ebenezer Care Center where he would visit the residence. He was super sweet, even to the woman who sometimes thought he was a cat. Mario leaves behind a big brother Chompers. He would like to thank his uncle Pat and Como Park Animal Hospital for their patience and support in helping him blossom into the loving, well adjusted, little guy who touched our hearts. No-one will miss Mario as much as we will and although the pain we feel without him is unbelievable, it in no way would compare to never having him in our lives,

My best friend, my sweet sweet, my Mario, we miss you.

Marios message to the world would be to...just...be...sweet.

"Mario was a really nice dog. It was such a pleasure, watching him grow up from the scared dog who didn't trust anyone. As he got to know you he would slowly become your friend. Every time we saw him he was just a little friendlier. When he finally decided that you were a good person, it was all love. Gonna miss him a lot."
