Robert E. Adams, 79, of Rochester, passed away September 9, 2019 at his home.
Robert was born May 28, 1940 in Gilroy, CA to John and Betty (Mosegard) Adams. After graduating from high school, Robert began working for I.B.M. at the age of 19. In 1967, in Sioux Falls, SD, Robert married Randa "Randy" Waldron. Robert worked as an engineer for I.B.M. for 35 years before retiring but even in retirement he continued to work as a consultant for various companies. He was a history buff, enjoyed hunting and spending time with his beloved dog, Rosie. Robert loved to travel, spanning 40 countries, taking in all the beautiful scenery and customs with his wife Randy. Some of his favorite places were; Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Russia, Norway and Lake Tahoe. Above all, Robert loved spending time and making memories with his family. He was smart, funny yet serious, a proud and generous man. Robert was a faithful and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Randy; children, Michael Adams of Santa Clara, CA, John (Michelle) Adams of Gilroy, CA, Kim Adams of Oronoco, MN, Julie (Eric) Lovestrand of Minnetonka, MN; grandchildren, Cody Clausen and Ellie Lovestrand; sisters, Barbara (Ralph) Hemphill, Susan (Leonard) Priest and several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty.
A private family service will be held at a later date in Lake Tahoe.

"How sad my good friend Robert E. Adams----Robert and I became good friend --he showed up at my door my name Robert E. Adams---he was there to buy my 1965 Red Chevrolet Super Sport with black leather seats it had a 396 c.i. engine with a 4 speed. Robert E. Adams wanted to trade his 1957 low mileage Chevrolet pick up truck--the deal was made we swapped titles with out recording them both titles had Robert E. Adams on the owners name-- It was a slick transaction. Robert E. Adams old friend rest in peace I will miss you. We were both IBM employees. Bob was a very pleasant person"
