Teresa was born to Henry and Martha Rollinger on May 26, 1938 in Bernard Iowa. Teresa then moved to Maquoketa and lived there until the death of her husband in 1985. At that time she moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where her oldest daughter lived. She lived there until her death.

Teresa met the love of her life, John Welch and they got married on January, 21, 1955. To this union were born 3 children, Christine, Kathy and Ken. Teresa enjoyed being a stay at home mother until 1976 when she went to work as a Nurses Aid at Maquoketa Community Hospital. Upon retirement, Teresa moved to Village at the Bluffs in Colorado Springs, where she lived for 17 years and was one of the first residents to move in. Teresa enjoyed all things Iowa Hawkeyes, Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. She also enjoyed knitting blankets, hats and especially Christmas stockings for each of her children and their spouses and grandchildren, but most of all she was the most happiest when all of her family was around!
