Judith Queen, 86 of Underwood, IA, passed away on September 15, 2019 at Windsor Manor in Shenandoah, IA. Graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Garner Township Cemetery in Council Bluffs with Fr. Dan Siepker officiating. A Celebration of Life Gathering for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019 in Kaufman Hall at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Glenwood. Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood in charge of arrangements.

Judith Irene (Eitzen) Queen, 86 of Underwood, Iowa, passed away on September 15, 2019 at Windsor Manor in Shenandoah.

Judith was born on December 30, 1932 in Coin, Iowa, the second of three daughters of Herbert and Genevieve (Griffey) Eitzen. She grew up in the Coin, Shenandoah, and Farragut, Iowa areas and graduated from Farragut High School in 1951. Judith received her Bachelor's degree in education from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. She worked as an elementary 2nd grade teacher for the Lewis Central School District in Council Bluffs, Iowa until her retirement.

Judith was blessed with four children, Robin, Phillip, Ronda and Douglas.

Judith enjoyed flowers, birds and butterflies, reading, and taking care of her dogs. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Douglas and Phillip.

Judith is survived by her daughters, Robin Scheuermann of Underwood, and Ronda Greiner (Rod) of Silver City, IA; eight grandchildren, Erin Ragland, Cara Gunter, Melissa Queen, Josh Greiner, Scott Greiner, Ashleigh Croushorn (Austin), Kayla Greiner, and Josh Queen; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Norma Mann of New Hope, AL, and her twin sister Joan Lynn of Shenandoah; other relatives and friends; and her beloved dog "Bandit".
