Gary "Doc" Van Scyoc, 76 of Thurman, IA, passed away at his home on September 17, 2019. Graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 in the Tabor Cemetery, Tabor, IA.
Gary Lyle Van Scyoc, 76 of Thurman, Iowa, passed away at his home on September 17, 2019.
Gary was born on August 31, 1943 in Louisiana, the son of Lyle Ellis and Josephine (Brattain) Van Scyoc. The family later moved to Iowa where his sister, Patricia was born in Hamburg in 1946. Gary graduated from high school and received his degree in business administration from Peru State College. Gary lived in the Thurman area where he farmed until his retirement in 1965.
Gary was preceded in death by his loving parents; and his dearest sister Patricia in 2015.
Gary was a good friend and will be dearly missed by those who knew him. He is survived by several friends, especially Tyler Stille (Kelli) of Tabor, IA.
