On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, Doris Anne "Dody" Woods Pierce, our Beautiful Mother, passed away peacefully holding her children in her hands and heart, she was 75.
Born in Washington, DC to the late Howard C. Woods and Oneida C. Yeoman, she spent her life in Alexandria, Fairfax, and Vienna, raising her three children as a loving mother to Blair, Michael, and Nicole and cherished grandmother to Sam, Sarah, Zoe, and Alexandra.
A formal obituary and Celebration of our mother's life is forthcoming and being planned for later this fall in her native home of Virginia.
