Ann Ruelas
October 8, 1965 - September 19, 2019

Anne Therese Ruelas went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2019 in Rochester, MN after a prolonged illness. Anne Therese is survived by her husband of 28 years, Felipe J. Ruelas, and her three children: Octavia, Josiah, and Abigail. She is also survived and will be missed by her mother, Elizabeth Morgan, her sister, Angela Poster, her sister and brother-in-law Maria and John Jackson, her brother and sister-in-law Joseph and DaNeeka Cotton as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse W. Cotton and her brother David Cotton of St. Paul-Minneapolis, MN.
Anne Therese was born on October 8, 1965 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to parents Elizabeth Morgan and Jesse Cotton. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1987 with a degree in Political Science.
Soon after, she moved to Los Angeles, California, and met the love of her life: Felipe. They married in 1990 and had three beautiful children.
She was known as a prayer warrior and strong woman of faith. She always had a way with words and spoke with such grace and wisdom. She loved to write, frequently scribbling her thoughts and prayers in an elegant cursive script. She loved people and was a sparkling conversationalist. Anne Therese loved to read and frequently inspired her children and those around her with the stories she had read. Her smile and laugh shone brightly and could change the atmosphere of any room or situation.
Her loved ones will always remember her as a beautiful, kind, gracious, loving wife, mother, and woman of God. She will be sorely missed.
A funeral service for Anne will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN 55901). Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes is honored to be serving the Ruelas family.
