Eugene Lee Turner

Eugene "Gene" Lee Turner, 82, of West Burlington, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at his home at Great River Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born July 13, 1937 in Lockridge, Iowa he was the son of Earl Bevins and Esther Victoria (Johnson) Turner.
Gene worked as a machinist for Murray Ironworks for 16 years until his retirement in 1986.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He loved watching Sci-Fi and scary movies and his time spent with his nieces and nephews and his extended family at Klein's.
He was a compassionate and gentle soul and loved by the people who knew him well.
He is survived by one sister, Twyla Tweed of Burlington and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
The graveside funeral service and interment for Gene will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28th at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Langner will officiate.
A memorial has been established for the Great River Klein Center Activities Fund.
