" Betty was like a second mom to me. Jane and I met in 4th grade. Betty always let us cook and bake at her house. It was there that I learned to make 7 layer bars, and assorted other dishes. Betty was always smiling, she also put up with my phone calls, Is Jane up yet? No, not yet, I?ll have her call you when she gets up! I remember when Jane & John saved a baby crow, and Betty made sure that the Crow, would have food. Another time, I brought this golden retriever to my house, it needed a home, my parents wouldn?t let me keep her. I carried this retriever up to Jane?s and Betty & Spike agreed to keep the dog. One memory, I will never forget, Jane and I used to listen to music together, and play guitars together, We loved 3 Dog Night. We got tickets and Betty took Jane & I to our first concert in the cities, we even stayed in a motel and went to southdale shopping. Betty was an incredible woman and mom. She did gardening, worked full time and still made time for her family and her kids friends. She always had a kind word, and a hug. She will be missed"

"Betty was a dedicated educator with a passion for each of her students to succeed....and they did! Betty shared an office at SE Tech with Marion--total opposites but good friends. My office was next door and I would hear them giggle so often. She loved the donuts Mr. Hemsey had for us at faculty meetings. Betty was a wonderful, giving person. Rest in Peace, Betty"
