Bill F. Jacobs

Bill F. Jacobs, 91, of Allison passed away Friday, September 27, 2019, at his home in Allison. He was born on November 9, 1927, to Frank and May (Nenaber) Jacobs in Miller, South Dakota.

Bill graduated from Allison High School and furthered his education at Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Bill was united in marriage to Lois Abbey on May 24, 1953, in Ireton, Iowa. He was owner of Allison Implement for over 47 years.

Bill was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Allison and was a member of the church council. He was a member of Allison AmVets, Allison-Bristow School Board, city council, Oliver President's Club and Allison Development Corporation. Bill was an Iowa Quarter Horse Association Director, President of Iowa County Fairs, President of White Farm Dealer's Association and Butler County Fair Board President for many years.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. He also enjoyed team sports, including watching his children and granddaughters' sporting events. But most importantly, Bill loved spending time with his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife Lois Jacobs of Allison, daughter Holly Jacobs of Kansas City, Missouri, son Mark Jacobs of Allison, granddaughter Chelsey (Nick) Weinmeister of Creston, granddaughter Carly (David) Ryan of Des Moines and great-granddaughter Avery Grace Weinmeister of Creston. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2019, at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Allison. Burial will take place in the Allison Cemetery.
