"To Warner's children and family. I worked at the VA with him for a good many years. HE was a kind, helpful man with great knowledge when I would ask. I directly remember a fire in a trash can in our big room back in the day when smoke where ever policy was in place. I was frozen with anxiety. There was a great deal of smoke in the room. Warner looked at me and said , patients are safe but we need help so I called the fire dept and he found a way to get the windows open. IT did not take long but we were all shocked at how fast the fire dept ran up 11 flights to our unit to make sure the fire was out and all were safe. I always appreciated his calm attitude when dealing with all folks who worked at the VA. I thank you for sharing him with me and my time working with him for 30 + years. RIP Warner."
