Jean Vargo wrote on Oct 9, 2019:

"I too have have so many emotional memories of Jerry. To mention a few, he always wanted to fix everything even if he made the lawn mower go backwards instead of forwards, and the card games were great. He was the only one who could make cheating fun. He was so good at that..but we all knew it. His ?gong? shows and organ playing were always so entertaining at Christmas. We will all miss him so much. May he Rest In Peace. "

"I know that when people pass away, there are many emotions that flood into us. In the case of Jerry Hansen I have to believe that in between the tears a smile hits your face. If I never met the man who was the life of the party I?d have never met your Dad. He was a combination of Huck Finn, Tom Sawyer, Chuck Yeager with a huge dose of Walt Disney in him. He always made you feel not just welcomed but needed in whatever was going on. it?s funny how feeling wanted or needed just makes you feel good. Jerry could always do that. A huge part of that was the hospitality that Dad had because of the support Mom always provided, she was the food and beverage provider while Dad could be the Greatest Showman. Come to think of it that really describes your Dad. When you were in his presence he always had a three ring circus going on around him. Every holiday or family get together was made even better by the Master of Ceremonies, your Dad... whether it was a keyboard in the trunk or bright lights and sound machines we were always entertained, Gong Shows etc were the norm for your Dad. Everyone was richer for the time they spent playing games with Dad. I know without a doubt Bud and Jerry are telling the Angels how to fly right and your Dad was laughing at the gates to heaven cause he secretly had an Ace of hearts up his sleeve. We all know how he loved to play cards and he was the king of cheating... Moms always has been a better card player and Ryan has learned from her but magically the extra Ace, or joker always ended up under your Dads chair. Lisa Craig and Glady, thanks for sharing Jerry Hansen with me..."
