Anderson, Mr.
Gregory Allan

Mr. Gregory Allan Anderson, age 66, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019. He was born in Muskegon, MI on May 5, 1953 to Fredrick & Marjorie (Norman) Anderson. Although Greg suffered from Cerebral Palsy he lived a full life, longer than anyone expected. He was cared for at home until he was 18 and attended Day Programs at Wesley School with his mother and also at Muskegon Life Skills. Greg then moved into a group home settling into Sternberg Home for over 30 years, later moving to Harbor Pines. He had a happy and cheerful attitude with many friends. Greg enjoyed watching sports on TV, bowling, and doing laps around the house in his wheelchair. But his favorite activity was going to Camp Fowler where he enjoyed campfires, boat rides and fishing. The family would like to thank the staff at Healthwest (CMH) and MOKA for their wonderful care through the years.

"Jane I also want to add a Huge Thank You to MOCA and Health West for all the care that has been given to my Brother Greggy over these some 35 years! We firmly believe he lived to the ripe old age of 66 due to all of the wonderful care, Love and Hospital visits that Greg endured his entire Life! Words could not express how grateful we are!"

Mark Anderson (Greggy's younger and only Brother) wrote on Oct 7, 2019:

"I just wanted to say a huge Thank You to anyone that played a part in Greg's life, whether it was taking care of his everyday needs, taking him to camp or all of his special health needs! Everyone was so good to Greg, we believe that is why he was able to outlive his Grandparents his parents and all of his Aunts and Uncles! Words could not express how Grateful both Jane and I are to each one of you that played even the smallest part in Greg's life!. I was blessed with such a wonderful brother at a time when "Special kids like Greg were not so openly accepted" his Mom and Dad, Aunts ,Uncles and care providers as Greg got older certainly tried to help make his life as full as possible. The Bible says their is a Special place in Heaven for kids like Greg and we firmly believe that! Jane and I are so happy that Greg is now in Heaven and able to now walk, talk and eat as he could here on earth at a young age! Once again a Huge THANK YOU to anyone that knew Greg or played any part in taking care of Greg! You are numerous and I could not begin to name each one of you! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! You are so greatly Loved and appreciated by Jane and I! God Bless"
