Georgina A. Hock
August 23, 1937 - October 6, 2019

Georgina Agnes Hock was born August 23, 1937, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of George and Pauline (Cain) Law. She grew up near Clare and attended country school before going to school in Manson and graduating from the Manson High School in 1955. After her schooling Georgina worked at Mid Continent Lumber Dealers in Fort Dodge.

On July 10, 1957, Georgina was united in marriage to Ronald Hock at St. Patrick on the Lizard, Clare, IA. After their marriage they lived in Manson and she continued to work in Fort Dodge. In 1974, the couple moved to Algona. Georgina owned and operated Merle Norman in Algona from 1984-1989, when she decided to sell to have more time for the grandkids. In 2000, they moved to Arnolds Park for the summers and enjoyed wintering in Texas for 10 years, before moving to Cedar Falls to be closer to family.

She enjoyed the time she was able spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Georgina loved to decorate and shop and she was an avid Iowa State University Cyclone fan.

Georgina died Sunday, October 6, 2019, at Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was 82.

She is survived by her husband, Ron of Cedar Falls; children, Craig (Christy) Hock of Dallas, TX; their children, Sarah, Virginia, Megan and Matthew Hock; JoAnn (Steve) Adams of Cedar Falls; their children, Mitch (Sarah) Adams, Kassie (John) Capps, Mallory (Matt) Lukan; Doug (Tammy) Hock of Humboldt; their children, Mandy (Dan) Mudgett, Paige Hock and fiancé, Wayne; Maureen (Mick) Nyflot of Albertville, MN; their children, Adam (Carisa) Flaherty, Mackenzie (Brent) Huber, Craig (Erica) Flaherty and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Carol Howell of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law, Joe Hock of Manson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Edna Hock and a sister, Pat Pohl.
