Harold Ubben
March 15, 1924 - October 17, 2019

Harold Ubben, 95, of Lakota, died Thursday at the Titonka Care Center. A funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Ramsey Reformed Church, rural Titonka. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM Sunday at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Titonka and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Harold Garry Ubben, the son of Fred and Hattie (Beenken) Ubben was born March 15, 1924, near Lakota. He passed away on October 17, 2019, at the age of 95. Harold graduated from Lakota High School in 1941. He farmed the family farm until he retired and his son took over the farming operation.

Harold married Anita (Bell) Ubben on November 30, 1956, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, MN. He was a lifelong member of the Ramsey Reformed Church. He served as a Sunday school teacher and was on the church board. Harold enjoyed traveling and camping with Anita, watching the Minnesota Twins, and being with his family. He moved to the Titonka Care Center in 2014.

He is survived by four children, Wanda (Keith) Goetz of Lakota, Fred Ubben of Lakota, Roger (Renee) Ubben of Iowa Falls, and Ronald Ubben of Lakota; four grandchildren, Erin (Barry) Schroeder of Algona, Kelly (Ryan) Steenhard of Buffalo Center, Chelsey (Zach) Schmidt of Los Angeles, CA, and Hunter Ubben of Iowa Falls; one great-grandchild, Harrison Schroeder; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Bell of Blue Earth, MN.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Anita in 2015; three brothers-in-law, Marvin (Myrl) Bell, Homer Bell, and Gene (Lois) Bell; and an infant brother and infant sister.
