Eleanor J. DiMauro
August 18, 1928 - October 18, 2019

Eleanor Jane (Scirpo) DiMauro, 91, of Dania Beach, FL, passed away at her daughter's home with her family by her side on October 18, 2019. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Angelo. She is survived by her sister Josephine Cubeta, her sons Robert (Carol), William (Marge Sullivan), daughter Angela McAlpin (Richard) and grandchildren Jamie Kirkcaldy (Jason) and Andrew DiMauro, Kristin and Christopher McAlpin, great granddaughter, Jemma Kirkcaldy and many loving nieces and nephews. Born in Middletown, CT, she married Angelo, a veteran of World War II, after he returned home from the war in 1948. They moved to Dania Beach, FL where they remained married for 68 years until his passing in 2016. Eleanor's greatest joy in life was being surrounded by family and friends celebrating family milestones. She was known for her homemade Italian dinners and delicious cakes and baked goods. She loved to travel and spend time with her sisters shopping and going to the movies. In her later years, she loved trying her luck at the casinos. She was a loving and sweet mother and friend who will be missed by all. . A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Maurice Church at Resurrection Catholic Church. A Graveside service will follow at South Florida National Cemetery. The family would like to invite everyone over to Bill's home located at 3830 Siena Circle Wellington, FL 33414 for food and drinks following the graveside service.

"We will remember Ellie warmly as part of our many family events and casual get togethers, especially in the later years when the two Ellie?s would share stories, memories, a bingo game or two...cake, cookies, tea and of course red wine for Ellie D!
