September 25, 1930 - October 22, 2019

Gloria Jean Collins, 89, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Marian Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 28th at 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Monsignor Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Barnum. A visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00-6:00 pm at Laufersweiler Funeral Home, Fort Dodge.
Gloria is survived by her children Jay (Tracy) Collins, Mary (Marlyn) Gardalen, Diane (Bill) Blomker, Kathy (Jim) Kesterson, Denise (Mike) McAnally, and Maureen (Denny) Crimmins, daughter-in-law Kay Collins, 18 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Olive Johnston, husband Richard in 2008, sons Steven and David, granddaughter Teresa (Terri) Gardalen and sisters, Geneva and Kathleen.
Gloria was born September 25, 1930 in Lohrville. Iowa. She graduated from Lohrville High School. Gloria was united in marriage to Richard Collins on February 21, 1949. The couple made their home in Barnum until 1997 when they moved to Fort Dodge. She was a member of The Catholic Daughters of America. She worked part time for the Barnum Ag Center and volunteered over 1000 hours at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Memorials may be left to The Marian Home.
