Deloris Dyer went to her eternal home on October 25th, 2019. She was a resident of Franklin Country View, Hampton, Iowa, formerly of Independence, Missouri.
Deloris was born in Independence, Missouri to Richard Ezra Hart and Edith Mae (Blake) Hart on January 13, 1923. She attended several schools during the depression due to traveling while her father looked for work. She attended Independence, Missouri, California, Cross Timbers, Missouri and finished graduating from Northeast High School, Kansas City, Missouri, in 1941.
She met the love of her life while writing to a friend's brother Robert Edmond Dyer during World War 2. When he returned home they were married on January 24th, 1946 at First Baptist Church, Independence, Missouri. They were deeply in love for 47 years. That love continued through their five children Jean (Randy) Oudekerk, Roma (Robert) Abernathey both of Hampton, Robert Jr. (Sandy) Dyer, Timothy (Becky) Dyer and Amy (Tim) Welsh of Independence, Missouri. She enjoyed 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great children.
Deloris was a homemaker and volunteer at the elementary school until later in life when she went to work at Associated Photography. Deloris was a very loving person who loved her family and everyone she can in contact with. She loved reading, art and playing the piano.
Deloris was preceded in death by her husband Robert, two daughters Jean and Amy, one son Robert Jr, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her parents, and siblings. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Burial will be in Independence, Missouri at a later time.

They had one of the deepest loves I have ever witnessed...Mom is truly one of the strongest people I have ever known ...She suffered so much loss of loved ones but always took it in stride...Family was the most important thing in her life...She always had a home full of love & lots of pets...I remember Amy saying she would take any cat or dog that needed a home...We became very close in her later years ...I loved her with my whole heart & will miss her deeply...
