John R. Siglar
Canton - John R. Siglar, 74, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
He was born on April 29, 1945 in Canton to Carl and Catherine (Hubbard) Siglar.
He married Penny Dorethy on September 17, 1966 in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Angie (Mike) Davidson of Jacksonville, N.C, Lisa (Mike) Finchum of Greenwood, IN, four grandchildren, Michael (Heather Stephens) Davidson, Jaime (Gary) Fleck, Bree Finchum, Alyssa Finchum two great grandchildren, Rally Diaz, Brynlee Stephens, two sisters, Judy (Larry) Warrington of Canton and Joyce (Frank) Spierowski of Farmington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother James and one sister, Janice Bishop.
John worked for Navistar and retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, ice fishing and watching football and baseball. He also enjoyed going to the Senior Center playing pool and most of all spending time with family and his many friends.
Services will be 11 am Friday, November 1, 2019 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Burial will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
