Michael "Mike" Leslie Prehm
September 8, 1955 - October 29, 2019

Michael Leslie Prehm, 64, of Danville, died Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Savannah Heights, Mt. Pleasant.

He was born September 8, 1955 in Burlington, the son of Arlo August and Ardeth Louise Gaunt Prehm. He married Konni Eastin on November 20, 1999 at Long Creek Church, Danville. He was a 1973 graduate of Danville High School.

Mike was a lifelong farmer in Danville on a Century Farm. He was an avid Hawkeye fan, loved racing and was a NASCAR enthusiast, owned a Super Modified race car and raced at 34 Raceway, in Donnellson and Quincy, and looked forward to tailgating in Florida at the Daytona 500. He and his son Dusty enjoyed go-cart racing. He was a former member of the Danville Jaycees, spent time partying with friends at the pond, enjoyed Wednesday card night at the shop, and loved farming and drinking with Chad.

Mike is survived by his wife, Konni of Danville; one son, Dusty (Hillary) Trail of Danville; one sister, Karen (Bob) Van Brocklin of Montrose; one brother, Mark of Danville; nieces, Toni, Molly, Samantha, and Heather; nephews, Jason and Logan; many great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 4, at Elliott Chapel, New London. Pastor Randy Gearhart will officiate. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Sunday, November 3, at the Chapel with the family greeting friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A memorial has been established.
