Aileen H. Miller, 90, of Fort Dodge, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
A time of gathering and Celebration of Life will be 1:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
Aileen is survived by her daughters, Dee Miller of Salem, OR and Toni Geis of Fort Dodge; daughter-in-law, Lori Miller of Fort Dodge; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren with a fourth on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, T. A. and Mary (Gacke) Hemmingson; husband, Robert H. Miller; sons, William J. Miller and Robert C. Miller; and a brother, Ted Hemmingson.
Aileen Hemmingson was born January 17, 1929 in Rock Valley, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Alton, IA and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1945. Aileen was united in marriage to Robert H. Miller in 1947 and the couple established their home in Alton. In 1968, they relocated and established their home in Fort Dodge. Aileen worked for Trelor's Inn for a number of years and then went into accounting for several trucking companies; including Mickey's Express for 6 years, Greenfield Transport for 15 years, and 15 years at Oberg Freight Company.
