Mahoney, Mrs
Nancy Jane
North Muskegon, Michigan

" Honest labor bears a lovely face." Nancy Jane Mahoney, age 82, died Friday, November 1, 2019 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Framingham, MA on July 13, 1937 to Edward & Mary (Sullivan) Cooney and following high school she attended Framingham State Teachers College. She married John Mahoney on July 13, 1957. Nancy resided in North Muskegon for 45 years and was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Nancy had many interests. In addition to her devotion to family and friends, she was an avid baker, floral designer, gardener and seamstress. She loved hosting tea parties for her family and friends, along with pre-midnight mass celebrations during the Christmas holidays. After her children were grown, Nancy worked part-time at the John Mahoney PC CPA firm. She loved animals and was committed to the rescue of stray cats and dogs. She served as a volunteer for Muscular Dystrophy during their annual fundraising drives. For more than 10 years she volunteered as a geriatrics companion and was also an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Nancy was a lovely, compassionate, caring and thoughtful person - a light that brightened many lives. We will remember her always with love in our hearts.

Tributes

Joshua wrote on Nov 2, 2019:

"My thoughts are with Nancy?s family. It is so painful to lose someone, yet no one else can really know all that you feel except our Heavenly Father. He knows and feels your pain. He calls death an enemy and promises to remove it forever, Isaiah 25:8 ?And he will swallow up death forever?? He also promised to wake up all our loved ones, in the memorial tombs, from death (Isaiah 26:19). What joy it will be to see our loved ones again and to enjoy life as our Creator purposed (Psalms 145:16). I  hope these words give all of you comfort."
