Frances Mae Larsen
March 21, 1935 - November 4, 2019

Frances Mae Larsen, 84, of Coulter, Iowa, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton. She was born on March 21, 1935, in Franklin County, Iowa, to Toby and Clara (Brammer) Olk.

Frances was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer. She graduated from Franklin Consolidated, class of 1953. Frances was united in marriage to Richard Lee Larsen on March 28, 1956, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer.

Frances was a housewife and a #1 mom, raising three children. She previously worked for 1 ½ years in Niagara Falls, New York, in an office of a chemical company, while Richard was in the Army, and at the Coulter Grocery Store in later years. Frances was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Coulter, the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer, numerous antiques/pottery clubs, and card clubs with neighbors and friends.

Frances enjoyed square dancing, bowling, gardening, farming and antiquing, as well as tea time with her dad Toby and her sister Mildred.

Frances is survived by her husband Richard of Coulter, daughter Linda (Terry) Hainzinger of Fenton, Iowa, daughter Audrey (Rick) Schmitt of Latimer, son Alan (Cristie) Larsen of Coulter, granddaughter Brandi (Ryan) Harms of Fenton, Iowa, grandsons Matt (Sarah) Greinert of Estherville, Ryan Fitz of Des Moines, Justin Fitz of Coulter, Johnathan Larsen of Beaumont, Texas, and Jordan Larsen of Missoula, Montana, great-granddaughters Rachel and Hazel, brother-in-law Pete (Marcia) Larsen of Clarion, along with several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Toby and Clara, brother Leonard Olk, sister Mildred Harris Peyton, brothers-in-law LaVerne Harris and Avron Peyton, sister-in-law Bonnie Bruns, and nephews David Harris, Doug Bruns, Denny Bruns and Lee Bruns.

"Gary and I are so very sorry to hear of Francis' passing . We have fond memories of her and Richard when we attended the Blue White Pottery Club conventions. Though it has been many years since we have been to a convention, Francis and Richard were some of our favorite people to visit with. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. "I loved it when mom and Aunt Frances would get together. for tea. The memories and inside jokes they shared were wonderful. Loved it when you walked in the room and they would be giggling about something. She loved her crocks, birthday angels, and the little birds ?. Bless the family as they go through this hard time."
