Florendius Norris
January 6, 1955 - November 4, 2019

Florendius Odessia Norris was born on January 6th 1955, to Floyd and Myrtis Howard, in Belzoni, Mississippi. She was the first born of five children.

Florendius was a lovely person and was greatly admired by all that knew her. She was educated in the Indianapolis public school system and graduated from Purdue University with a major in merchandising and management. She worked a few minor jobs during high school but made her career working at the U.S. Post Office in Indianapolis Indiana until she retired as a Mail Piece Design Analyst in December of 2008.

She was an avid reader and loved cooking, sewing and crafts. She enjoyed working puzzles on her computer and solving problems of any kind. She was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure in 2009, at which time her health began to fail. She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Howard Sr.

Florendius was married to DeWaine Norris in 1975, they had one child, a son DeJuian Norris, (Yvonne). Whom she leaves to cherish her memory along with her mother Myrtis Howard, her brothers Gregory, Floyd Jr., and Richard Howard all of Indianapolis, Indiana, and one sister Barbara White (Tilton) of St Louis, Missouri. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, two special uncles Thomas Reed (Evelyn) and Johnny Mollett (Lola) and many dear friends.
