Evelyn Schmoll
April 11, 1925 - November 5, 2019

Evelyn Schmoll, longtime Aniwa area resident, died Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 94 years old. She was born on April 11, 1925, in Langlade County, a daughter of Charles and Ella (Jahanek) Houdek. She married Benjamin Schmoll on September 4, 1946, at St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2000.

Evelyn and her husband purchased his parents dairy farm in the town of Rolling in 1957. They operated the farm for over 35 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet (Tom) Zimmerman of Aniwa; two sons, Jim (Yvonne) Schmoll of Wausau, John (Mary) Schmoll of Antigo; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Mach of Appleton, Shirley Drexler of Chicago, Illinois, Arleen Plzak of Antigo; a brother, Eugene (Eunice) Houdek of Antigo; a brother-in-law, Mel Walters, Antigo; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tracy Schmoll; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Schmoll; a sister, Elaine Walters; a brother, Robert (Phyllis) Houdek; three brothers-in-law, Harry Mach, John Drexler, and Dan Plzak.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church 415 Sixth Ave Antigo, with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Aniwa Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home.
