"We are so very sorry to learn of Janice's passing -- such a dear, kind and special lady. My husband Jim and I first met Janice when we purchased apartment buildings in the early 80's and she helped us with our flooring needs - both at the apartments and with our home and my folks' home and our son's home -- the list goes on and on. We valued her advice and professionalism almost as much as we valued her friendship. Heaven gained a very special angel in Janice. We will miss her, especially her laughter and sense of humor. Our deepest sympathies to the family. Jim and Lisa Sorenson "

"Memories, there are so many. Larry and I shared the memories of Ron and Janice dating, standing up as their best man and women for their wedding and were there for the birth of their two amazing children, Michelle and Jeff. Larry shared the love of duck hunting with Ron, while Janice I shared a trip to Maui and many ISU football tailgates with family and friends. This family is very near and dear to our hearts. I hope Michelle and Jeff know they will always be considered part of our family as well. Larry and Mary Hills "

Rachele M Rickels wrote on Nov 7, 2019:

"So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I had fond memories of spending time with her at sleepovers at grandma and grandpa Meyer's and in 4-H. She taught me a special song "Wooden Heart" that I learned from a 45 record and eventually sang at the fairgrounds. On my wedding day she and your dad gave Doug and I a restaurant recommendation in the Bahamas that was awesome. Please know that you Michelle and Jeff and your family have our sympathy and are in our prayers. As the oldest of Don's kids ( your mom passed on his birthday and they were 20 years apart) I am extending the love from all of my siblings to everyone. With fond memories, Rachele (Meyer) Rickels"
