Florence Elizabeth Vestal
November 29, 1921 - November 7, 2019

Florence Elizabeth Russell Vestal, 97, of Burlington, died Thursday, November 7, 2019 at her daughter's home.
Born November 29, 1921 in Burlington, Iowa she was the daughter of Harry and Mary Catherine (Rutter) Gibbs. She married John J. Russell on June 9, 1939 the later divorced. She then married Jakey Vestal January 17, 1968 in Biggsville, Illinois. He died April 6, 1985.
Florence was a homemaker. She was a former member of Open Bible Church. She enjoyed time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved going fishing, playing cards and always had a smile on her face.
Survivors include her six children; Sandra (Joe) Kimmel, Dennis (Bette) Russell, Sheila Thompson, Randy (Sharon) Russell, Darryl (Donna) Russell and Vickie Gahn; 20 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, three brothers, one sister and two sons-in-laws.
The funeral service for Mrs. Vestal will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 12th at Lunning Chapel. The Rev. Jan Garza will officiate. Interment will be in Edwards Cemetery, rural Oakville. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 11th at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends.
Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice and Spring Grove Methodist Church.

We are sad to not have her to see but she left us with so many memories, we are happy for her now. May your days get more comforting without your mom here on earth.
