In loving memory of

Sam Noah Trimble
May 12, 1947 - November 21, 2019

Sam Noah Trimble, 72 of Burlington passed away peacefully at his home on November 21, 2019. Sam was born on May 12, 1947 in Burlington to Noah Trimble and Mildred "Millie" (Alexander) Trimble. He grew up and lived on his family farm for all of his 72 years. He graduated from Mediapolis High School and attended Southeastern Community College for one year.
He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He married Kathy Leedom on October 27, 1968. They celebrated 51 years this year.
Sam was able to talk to anyone. No one seemed to be a stranger. Although he couldn't remember names, he always remembered faces. He would gladly help anyone and literally give the shirt off his back. In wanting to help others he was an organ donor and donated his body to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Sam was a great storyteller. He loved being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. He cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Kathy; son, Todd (Michelle) Trimble, and daughter, Lisa (Wesley) Boyd; grandchildren, Tyler Trimble, Kelley Trimble, Bryce Boyd, and Brooklyn Boyd. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, and father.
Per Sam's request, no services will be held. However, a memorial is being established for the Sam Trimble Memorial Fund.
