Funeral services for Ms. Imogene Melton, age 91 of Copeland Cove, will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, November 30, 2019, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Brett Gibbons will officiate. Burial to follow in Fellowship Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Livingston Funeral Home.
Ms. Melton passed from this life on Wednesday morning, November 27, 2019, from Signature Healthcare in Algood. She was born in Clay County on February 29, 1928, to the late Elliot and Lee Emma Chowning Melton. She loved her flowers, spending time in the garden, being outside, drinking Pepsi, and eating honeybuns.
Imogene leaves behind her sister Leatrice Melton of Livingston and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Melton was preceded in death by her brothers Quinton Melton, Chowning Melton, and Cloise Melton and sisters Mary Lou Melton, Estelle Shelton, Kathleen Probst, Nelda Sue Best, and Geneva Melton.
Pallbearers to serve are Jerry Melton, James Ringley, Roger Melton, William Best, Chet Best, and Don Melton.
