Arthur L. Holloway, 86, of Ames and formerly of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Bethany Manor in Story City.
No services are planned at this time.
Art is survived by his wife, Dorothy Holloway; children, Jeff Holloway of Fort Dodge, Robin Haggard of Monument, CO, and Scott Holloway of Ames.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucie (Marshall) Holloway and a grandson, Adam Holloway.
Arthur Lee Holloway was born December 4, 1932 in Rockwell City, IA. He attended schools in Rockwell City and graduated from Rockwell City High School. After graduating, he attended Tobin Business College where he earned his AA degree. On June 26, 1951 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge in June of 1955, he served in the Air National Guard and retired after 30 years. On September 5, 1956 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Vote and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Art worked for Hormel's for 31 years and retired after working for the State of Iowa for 15 years.
