Betty Lou Olomon
June 16, 1928 - November 30, 2019

Mrs. Betty Lou Olomon, 91, of Burlington, went to be with the Lord at 8:14 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Great River Klein Center, West Burlington.
She was born on June 6, 1928, in Carthage, Illinois to Ralph W. and Fern (Thompson) Grisham. On February 16, 1951 in Keokuk, IA she married Glenn D. Olomon.
Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of Burlington Baptist Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, needle working, reading, baking, the outdoors and helping Glenn with farming. Betty's other activities included attending fairs and the zoo, roller skating, square dancing and listening to country & western and bluegrass music.
Survivors include her husband Glenn of 68 years, one daughter, Marlene (Richard) Turchin of Henning, Minnesota; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Breakbill of Montrose, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Glenna Lou Olomon and Linda Kay Sheperd and four brothers.
The funeral service for Mrs. Betty Lou Olomon will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 6th at Lunning Chapel. Pastor Kendall Adams will officiate. Interment will be in Moss Ridge Cemetery, Carthage, Illinois.
Family and friends are invited to a luncheon beginning at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7th at Glenn's house, 15254 Highway 61, Burlington.
Memorials have been established for Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard and the Mediapolis Community Ambulance Service.
