Emelina Perera
February 4, 1926 - December 22, 2015

Emelina A. Perera, 89 of Forked River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Tallwoods Care Center, Bayville.
Born in Cuba, Emelina moved to the United States in 1956, settling with her family on Bleeker Street in New York City. She worked as Seamstress for the International Ladies Garment Union in New York for 20 years before retiring. Emelina loved playing bingo, cards and dominoes; she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a joyful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Predeceased by her sons, Antonio and Ernesto; Emelina is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dalia Russell and Richard Windt of Forked River; her grandchildren, Joseph, Melina, and Kalina; her great -grandchildren; Justin, Jonathan, Jason, and Kristian; and her dog Peanut.
Services will be held privately.
