In loving memory of

Carl E. Hautzinger
April 14, 1934 - December 30, 2019

Carl Edwin Hautzinger, age 85 of North Wales and formerly of Ambler, PA, died suddenly on Monday, December 30, 2019, at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Kenosha, WI, he was the son of the late John and Mildred (nee Knutson) Hautzinger.

Carl was extremely proud of his Navy service which brought him to Pennsylvania in 1957, where he remained since. He was a Tool Maker employed by Yarway Corporation in Blue Bell for 40 years until his retirement in 1996.

Carl lived an active and happy life. Everyone he met became a friend, and he would proudly tell you about the accomplishments of all his family. You could find Carl at the golf course almost every day. His wife, his children, and a few grandchildren share his passion for golf. He was a member of the Sandy Run Country Club for over 30 years, then Flourtown Country Club. Both his sons served on the Wissahickon Volunteer Fire Company, and he spent many happy times with his extended firehouse family.

Carl was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, North Wales and a past member of St. Joseph's Church, Ambler. In his younger days he sang in the church choir and most Sunday mornings our family returned home loudly singing the recessional hymn.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joan (nee Ostapower) Hautzinger; devoted children: Carol Nevins (Stephen) of Kingston, NY, Susan Garcia (Victor) of Colorado Springs, CO, James Hautzinger (Wendy) of Hatfield, PA, and John Hautzinger (Kelly) of Lower Frederick, PA. He is the loving grandfather of nine. Additionally, Carl is survived by sisters, Elaine Cordova and Audrey Steel and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 4, 2020, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church 428 S Main St, North Wales, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date.

Remembrances may be made in his name to any veteran's organization of your choice.

"Carl, You will be missed, from the Friday Afternoon Happy Hours at WFC, Golf in Myrtle Beach to being the Manufacturer of my first two sets of Golf Clubs. Carl, you were the perfect gentleman! Love of your Family, Your God, Your Country, and your friends. Always a friendly word, and when you hit a good shot he would acknowledge, and when you hit that really terrible shot a word of encouragement. Mr. Hautz you were truly a pleasure to call a friend! RIP"
