Clement Bryron France
November 9, 1931 - January 2, 2020

Mr. Clement (Clem) Byron France, age 88 died January 2, 2020, following a battle with cancer. He was born November 9, 1931, in Hart, Michigan to Claude and Minnie (Markillie) France. On February 2, 1952, he married Carol Jean Langler. Clem was a Navy veteran serving from 1949 to 1954. He was the Boy Scout Master for the Holton area for 20 years and was a member of the Order of Arrow. He enjoyed fishing, building, and driving semi-trucks. He retired from Wal-Mart in Fremont in October 2018. Clem was preceded in death by his wife Carol Jean of 59 years, his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and son-in-law Larry Maycroft. Clem is survived by his daughters Nancy Maycroft of Muskegon and Vickie (Jerry) DeGroat of Holton and son Randy (Marcy Fox) of Holton, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Earl and Janet Langler of Twin Lake, Stanley Bush Sr. of Fremont, 21 grandchildren. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be Tuesday, January 7, 2020, with VISITATION at 10 a,m. followed by the service at 11 a.m. at Holton United Methodist Church, 9530 Holton Duck Lake Rd, Holton, MI. with Pastor Matt Stoll officiating. MEMORIAL contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice of Muskegon.

"Ken and I are so thankful we were able to visit with Clem this summer. We have good memories of your parents visit out here to Maryland. They had a good time going to Hershey and into Washington, D.C. I can still see Clem's eyes light up when we went into the Cathedral. Our Love ?? is with you family as you mourn. Penny & Ken. "

"I met Clem when I was just starting out as a young adult. We worked together at Walmart. He was an amazing man and I am so blessed to have known him. He was always cracking jokes and had a good story. It always made my day when I seen him at work. I will be looking for you in heaven dear friend, much love until we meet again! You will be missed. "

He was a sweet sole, and both he and I enjoyed talking about or families and especially our grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. And it was an honor to know him.
