Edward Droessler
February 2, 1944 - January 3, 2020

Edward George Droessler, son of Frank and Agnes (Illg) Droessler was born on February 2, 1944 in Bancroft. He attended St. John's Catholic School in Bancroft where he graduated in 1962.

Ed farmed with his father until 1969 when his father retired and Ed bought his own farm. He married Marita Berte and together they raised their three children on this farm. He raised dairy cows for nearly forty years and then switched to raising beef cattle. He continued to farm with his sons and grandsons until 2019.

Ed loved bowling in his free time. He was part of a bowling league in Buffalo Center for many years and took multiple trips to championship tournaments with his bowling team. Ed enjoyed taking his Ford Mustang out for rides, going out to dance and visiting with his friends and family. He loved talking farm with anyone who listened. Anyone who knew Ed knew that he was a hard worker and dedicated farmer. Ed died Friday, January 3, 2020 at Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center.

Ed is survived by children Tony Droessler of Lakota and his children Dakota, Colby, and Haley; Sheila (Joe) Larson of Thompson and their children Alysha (Ryan) Patterson, Caleb, and Abigail; Mike (Jamie) Droessler of Buffalo Center and their children MacKenzie (Zac) Ree, Natasha, and Gavin; special friend Dee Peterson of Albert Lea, MN; brother Robert Droessler; sister Mary (Lyle) Mabus; brother-in-law Bob Blocker; sister in law Julie Droessler; and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents (Frank and Agnes); sisters Alice Droessler and Rita Blocker; brother Richard Droessler; sister-in-law Mary Lou (Robert) Droessler; son in law Brian (Sheila) Ricke.
