In loving memory of

Beverly M. Block
July 4, 1940 - January 3, 2020

Beverly Marie Block, Winona, MN, passed into eternal life surrounded by her family on Friday, January 3, 2020. Bev slipped away on the same day her dearly awaited great grand-daughter, Ivy, was born. Bev was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Bev was born to Thomas and Mabel (Jacobson) Hunter in Galesville, WI, on July 4, 1940. As a young girl she enjoyed picking apples, riding horses and spending time with her 3 sisters.
Bev graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1958. On June 25, 1960, she married Robert T. Bautch, they made their home in Milwaukee, WI, and had 5 children. In Milwaukee, Bev was a homemaker, Girl Scout leader, and an active PTA member. Bob and Bev later divorced.
On May 11, 1985, Bev married the love of her life, Michael Block. Bev told Mike it was a package deal and he gladly welcomed a house full of crazy kids and chaos.
Bev and Mike enjoyed life and loved each other with all of their being. It was a true love story. They were inseparable. It is for Mike that we are the most heart-broken.
Together they loved spending time with friends on the river and on their bus, traveling, trips to Black River Falls, hosting lots of clever house parties, and camping.
Christmas with family was Bev's favorite time of the year and she thoroughly enjoyed that even in 2019. She was an excellent cook and always showed her love with a meal, very often around a beautifully set table; other times around a picnic table and camp fire. Bev loved her Green Bay Packers and collecting beautiful things including Christmas ornaments, music boxes, rocking horses, Coca-Cola products, and Wizard of Oz figurines to name a few.
Bev will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Alan (Lori) Bautch, Kim Trainor, Shane (Tiffany) Bautch, and Bob (Cindy) Bautch; grandchildren Erica (Adam) Lopez, Luke Bautch, Chloe and Tia Trainor, Jaxson Bautch, Andrea (Dave) Delsing; and great-granddaughter, Ivy Lynn Lopez; sisters, Jean (Roger) Flattum, Pauline Crilly, and Sandy Hunter; brother-in-law, Rick (Debbie) Block; plus many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends; and her precious pups, Hanna and Nahnie.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Rick; and Mike's parents, Albert and Beverly Block.
As we say goodbye and honor her, we invite you to a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m., Saturday, January 11, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Winona. Pastor Joe McConkey will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of the service. Please join Bev's family for lunch following her service. Bev will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Luke Bautch, Chloe Trainor, Tia Trainor, Dave Delsing, Adam Lopez, Jon Duffy, Craig Schultz, and Mike Szczepanski. Honorary Pallbearers will be Erica Lopez, Andrea Delsing, and Jaxson Bautch.
Feel free to wear Packer gear as Bev loved her Green Bay Packers!
