Kenneth Meisenhelder
September 17, 1927 - May 23, 2011

Kenneth Meisenhelder, of Antigo, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at Langlade Hospital. He was 83 years old. He was born on September 17, 1927 in Antigo, a son of August and Anna (Reiminger) Meisenhelder.

He attended Elmhurst and Fairview Grade Schools. In January 1946 he joined the United States Army and was stationed in San Francisco. After his military discharge in 1947 he returned to Antigo and worked for Prosser Brothers Potato Farms. On November 5, 1949 he married Maxine Bonk in Antigo. The couple later divorced. Mr. Meisenhelder worked for the Bonk Carnival from 1954 to 1969. He returned to Antigo in the 1970s to help care for his Mother.

He enjoyed the Friday night car races in Antigo, watching the Green Bay Packers and TV game shows, and listening to the Sunday Polkas on the radio. For several summers he visited Rome, New York where his children live.

Survivors include a daughter Kathy (Fred) Jasiewicy; three sons Randy (Ann) Meisenhelder, Rick (Melonie) Meisenhelder, Tim (Tina) Meisenhelder, all of Rome, NY; several grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; a sister Loretta Gutwien, Antigo; two brothers Harold (Lucille) Meisenhelder, Dale, Willis Meisenhelder, Kissimmee, FL; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Fern Adamski, Ilene Flesichman, Irene Ingalls, Mildred Stavens.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and 9:30 until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
