Joan V. Dameron
November 21, 1933 - January 7, 2020

Joan V. Dameron, 86 of Burlington, died at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Great River Medical Center.
Born November 21, 1933 in Burlington, IA, she was the daughter of Harry and Marie (Stewart) Granaman. She married Richard Dale Dameron on November 13, 1953 in Kahoka, MO.
Joan worked as a homemaker, at IRC, I.A.A.P., and Selby's Chicken Factory.
Her pastimes included feeding the birds, gardening, puzzles, and watching the Chicago Cubs with Richard. She loved her Boston Terriers, which were all named JoJo, and her stuffed animals.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Richard; three sons, Michael Mellinger, Marvin (Cindy) Dameron, and Kevin (Linda) Dameron Sr., all of Burlington; five grandchildren, Jeremy Dameron, Jodi Dameron, Summer Coleman, Kevin Dameron Jr., and Angela Lowary; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leon and Leonard Granaman; and one sister, Lois Sutcliffe.
The funeral service for Mrs. Dameron will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 10th at Lunning Chapel. Rev. Dean Graber will officiate. Interment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Association-Greater Iowa Chapter.
