Lee C. Clyburn

Lee Campbell Clyburn died on September 18, 2013 in Houston, TX from complications of an early stroke. Lee was preceded in death by his parents George Lee Clyburn and Nell Phillips Clyburn. Born June 11, 1945, Lee graduated from Dartmouth College Cum Laude, and then received his J.D. with Honors from the University of Texas where he was selected for Law Review. Lee joined Baker and Botts in the corporate law division. He served as an Assistant Attorney General, State of Texas, where he pled a case before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1976, an achievement which he considered a highlight. He continued his career as a partner with Fulbright and Jaworski in Austin, TX. Lee treasured his relationship with those co-workers and longtime friends. He loved the University of Texas sports, and he followed the Houston Astros through good and bad seasons. Lee is survived by brother John H. Clyburn (Carolyn), and sisters Laura C. McWilliams (Brad) and Miriam C. Vaughn (Robert). The family will have a private service at graveside in Crockett, Texas. Remembrances may be made to Dartmouth College or a charity of your choice.
