In loving memory of

December 8, 2014

Christopher Neil Edwards was born on February 16, 1982 in Houston, Texas. He died suddenly on December 8, 2014. Chris was only 32 years old. Chris had a tragic car accident in June of this year. He was "LifeFlighted" to Memorial Herman Hospital where he spent 22 days in intensive care. He was moved to TIRR Memorial Herman Hospital and spent another six weeks in treatment and recovery. Chris was scheduled to further continue his recovery at yet another facility for Neuro Recovery, but unfortunately the funding had been delayed. Chris struggled each day with his pain and confusion due to his injuries but, he still managed to remain positive and strong for his family. Chris was very anxious to get better and return to a normal life and work. Chris was a dedicated husband and father to his son Dylan (9 years old). He worked as an electrician with the Local 716 Electrical Union. His current work assignment had been with Mid West Electric. Although the cause of death in not yet known, the family feels that his death was likely related to complications from his accident and injuries. His wife, Cassie has been his care giver. She has been an amazing wife, so strong, supportive, protective and patient with Chris. Cassie had not left his side since the day of the accident. Chris was the "love of her life" as she said many times and she treated him with the most precious and respectful care. The family is in shock and disbelief that Chris has gone, but they also feel a sense of peace to know that Chris is now safe and secure and free of the pain and frustration that he endured each day. The family now has yet another "Guardian Angel" to watch over and protect them. Chris is preceded in death by his father, his grandfathers, his Grandma Anderson and his Uncle John Anderson. He leaves behind his wife, Cassandra Edwards, his son Dylan Edwards, mother Deborah Edwards, sister Julia Edwards Sayrie, brother in law, Kenneth Sayrie, nieces Haley Edwards, Athena Sayrie, Kendall Sayrie, and Andrew Sayrie. Aunts and Uncles; Jon & Sara Edwards, Steve and Joann Edwards, Gary and Suzie Spets. Cousins; Lisa Ortiz, Jason Spets, and Emily Edwards, as well as many friends. In lieu of flowers, please note that a good friend of the family, Carol Burkhart, has set up a fund on "Facebook". If you wish to make a donation please go to Facebook.com and go to the following link: gofundme.com/chrisedwards. A private gathering will be held for family and friends. Edwards family
