Edmund Adolph Stavinoha, Jr., age 87, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, after a short illness. He is survived by 4 children - Ronnie Stavinoha (Linda) of Pearland, TX, Janet Von Graff (Randy) of Houston, TX, Ken Stavinoha (Karen) of Murphy, TX, and Kelly Stavinoha (Colleen) of Houston, TX. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren - Kelly (Brandy) Stavinoha, Daniel (Melissa) Stavinoha, Emily Stavinoha, all of Houston, TX, and Connor Stavinoha and Parker Stavinoha of Murphy, TX, and his great-grandson, Elliott Edmund Stavinoha, of Houston, TX. Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Theresa Stavinoha, in June 1993. Ed was a navy veteran, an insurance salesman, and a long-time successful independent Snap-On Tool dealer. He was a great family man, loving father, and beloved Pops to his grandchildren. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of Mount Carmel Catholic Church over 50 years. His family and friends will always remember him as a bright, honest, loving, and hardworking man. He will be greatly missed. A Rosary is scheduled Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 6703 Whitefriars, Houston, TX 77087. A funeral Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. following the Rosary. For those wanting to attend the burial, it will take place at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023, after the funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Houston, TX, or a charity of your choice.
