In loving memory of

Mary Ann Blavat
February 20, 2015

Mary Ann was born April 25, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Emil and Mary Alice Bundalo, the eldest of nine children. She grew up in South Milwaukee. On April 24, 1965, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Greg. They would be married for fifty years. In 1966, her son Todd was born, followed by daughter, Jennifer, in 1968. In 1972, the family moved to Texas, where they would live in and around the Katy area for the rest of her life. Mary Ann lived for her family, which would grow to include, Donnie, her "favorite son-in-law", daughter-in-law, Sheila, and grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, T.J. and Bo. She loved and raised her family in Texas, even as she maintained ties to Wisconsin, returning home to care for her parents when their times came and returning again to care for her aging mother-in-law. She was happiest at family gatherings and get-togethers. In addition to her own family, Mary Ann loved others. She was kind and gentle, enjoyed talking, but even more so was an exceptional listener. She was never judgmental and believed in the right to live life as one saw fit. Once she met you, you knew she would never forget you. And no one who met her, will ever forget her. Proceeded in death by her parents, Emil and Mary Alice Bundalo, brother, Mark and father-in-law, Jerry Blavat. Survived by her husband, Greg, son, Todd, daughter, Jennifer, son-in-law, Donnie, daughter-in-law, Sheila, grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, T.J. and Bo, Brothers, Milan, Brian, Joel and Kevin. Sisters, Linda, LaDonna, and Lisa. Mother-in-law, Eleanore, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Houston Public Media at www.houstonpublicmedia.org/support. In the comments section, please leave her name and your name and address so the gift may be acknowledged.
