Schalamahr Brunson, 83, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2018, in Houston, Texas. She was born on January 30, 1935, in Houston, Texas to Howard and Betty Ruth Brunson.
Schalamahr taught dance in Waller and left the banking world to pursue her love of art. She painted with oil and acrylics and share her love of art with many students. She loved to travel all over the world and spent many summers in San Miguel de Allende making jewelry, painting and house sitting. She loved all animals specially her dogs Luvit, Lexie, Jaxie and Piper. She was very fond of her neighbors and looked forward to watching the Texas Football games on Sundays, and going out to eat Mexican food on Friday nights with them.
Schalamahr was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Betty Ruth Brunson and great- nephew Hunter Gregg. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be Saturday, August 11, at 11 a.m., at Distinctive Life Funeral Home, 5455 Dashwood, Suite 100, Bellaire, Texas, 77401. Reception following service.
